ASU is looking for a qualified NVG Installation Technician. Technician is responsible for the installation of supplemental lighting systems to include rotorcraft and fixed wing aircraft. To include completion of associated paperwork; delivering professional customer service over the phone and in the field; coordination of post installation updates and participating in procedural documentation, etc. Additionally responsibilities may include but are not limited to performing general aircraft maintenance. This position is full time with benefits upon successful completion of 90 day probationary period.

(BOISE, Idaho - October 13, 2011) In an effort to assist and educate operators about changes in inspections, installations, aircraft conformity, and requirements with modifications, Aviation Specialties Unlimited, (ASU) will offer a NVIS Aircraft Conformity Courses at the Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC) in St. Louis. ASU Quality Assurance Manager and Chief Inspector Kip McDermott will present the course. The course will take place Wednesday, October 19th from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Space is still available if attendees of the show want to attend.

ASU announced today that they received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the Bell 205A-1 from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The new STC was completed for the San Diego Sherriff's Department. This aircraft will be used for aerial firefighting, search and rescue, airborne law enforcement and hoist equipment.

In an effort to assist and educate operators about changes in inspections, installations, aircraft conformity, and requirements with modifications, Aviation Specialties Unlimited, (ASU) continues to offer NVIS Aircraft Conformity Courses at no cost. The next course is scheduled for the Air Medical Transport Conference. ASU Quality Assurance Manager and Chief Inspector Kip McDermott teaches the 3-hour course. This course was previously held in Orlando at Heli Expo.

ASU announced today that they have surpassed their 100th EC135 cockpit modification. The 100th modification was completed for Metro Aviation. ?We performed our first modification on the EC 135 in 2003,? said Mike Atwood founder and CEO of ASU. ?It's remarkable that in such a short time we have equipped over 100 EC135 aircraft with NVG's that are servicing the medical and law enforcement industry"?

The 100th modification was completed for Advanced Helicopter Services? customer the California Highway Patrol. ?AS350?s can be found all over the world and are a very versatile aircraft,? said Mike Atwood founder and CEO of ASU. ?Numerous law enforcement and fire fighting agencies in North America operate the AS350. By modifying the aircraft for night vision capabilities, we are giving those agencies the ability to operate the aircraft at night and increasing their ability to serve and protect their communities.?

(BOISE, Idaho ? Date) Aviation Specialties Unlimited, (ASU) announced today that they received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the CASA 212 from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The C212 is used for transportation and surveillance. With the new STC, ASU will modify the cockpit and cabin of a C212 for supplemental lighting night vision conformity for Evergreen Helicopters.

Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc. (ASU) is pleased to announce that it has completed another Bell 222 Night Vision Lighting Modification for California Shock Trauma Air Rescue (CALSTAR). This completion was performed at CALSTAR?s facility in McClellan, CA. ASU has been a turn-key provider for the California based airborne EMS operator since early 2002. With this completion, ASU has modified 7 aircraft in the CALSTAR fleet, along with pilot & crew training, and F4949 night vision equipment sales, service & support.
