Inside Sales Representative

INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Office Location: Boise, Idaho

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the company’s sales policies, objectives and initiatives.
  • Provides monthly sales forecast by opportunity.
  • Tracks and achieves personal sales goals.
  • Fields prospective customer inquiries, listening to their needs and educating the prospect as to the company’s relative products, services and value proposition.
  • Provide quotations within 48 hours or less.  Keeping the prospect informed if a quote is going to take longer than expected.
  • Quotes products and services according to company pricing policy and receives supervisor approval when quoting less than company’s standard pricing.
  • Follow up on opportunities every 30 days.
  • Maintain the CRM database with all the information required by company policy.
  • Addresses customer complaints and elevates to supervisor.
  • Enters sales orders into QuickBooks or ERP system.
  • Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
  • Collects and forwards competitive information to the Director of Sales.  Recommends changes in pricing or sales strategies in order to stay competitive in the market place.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in industry activities.
  • Attends trade shows to promote the company’s products and services as well as to stay up to date on competitor’s activities.
  • Builds and maintains strong customer and company representative relationships.
  • Follows company representative agreements.
  • Develops excellent relationships with business unit managers and support them where needed.

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent listening and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Proficient with QuickBooks or ERP system as it relates to the position.
  • Proficient with the quoting and CRM software.
