Office Location: Boise, Idaho

 

Position Summary:

The Production Planner Scheduler prioritizes and schedules sales order according to established lead-times in a manner that facilitates Just-In-Time deliveries and maximizes cash flow.  Duties include; working with business units to manage Throughput, tracking production, identifying potential issues, provide weekly status reports and ensure timely invoicing.

 

Responsibilities:

Assist with the design, development and implementation of a Production Schedule program that integrates all Business Units within the organization.
Assist with the development and implementation of Throughput performance metrics.
Review Sales Orders for completeness and accuracy.
Prioritize and schedule Sales Orders according to appropriate lead-times and with a goal of Just-In-Time delivery and maximizing cash flow.
Work with business units to ensure orders stay on schedule and identify potential issues.
Identify issues affecting timely delivery or inefficiencies and raise issues to supervisor.
Track timely invoicing of orders.
Organize and facilitate weekly meetings with business unit managers
Provide weekly reports to Senior Management summarizing all Sales Order’s status relative to the schedule, changes in schedule, potential issues, weekly, monthly and quarterly revenue and capacity projections.

 

Skills and Ability Expectations:

Understanding of ERP systems and Microsoft Office products; strong computer skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
Good customer service/phone skills and flexibility for handling a wide range of activities.
Proactive use of logic and reasoning to identify and recommend solutions to issues that arise.
Demonstrate personal time management skills.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years production planning and scheduling experience.  Prefer experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with the use of production scheduling software.
CPIM Certification a plus.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
