Sales Analyst

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst position is designed to provide ASU Leadership with comprehensive sales analysis and support.  Prepares sales forecasts and collects and analyzes data to evaluate current sales goals. Researches and evaluates current economic conditions that may affect the ASU's ability to sell its products or services in the marketplace. Assists in the development of sales quotas and forecasts for the sales team. Recommends changes to current sales techniques, procedures or promotional efforts based on market research and new trends. Requires a bachelor's degree.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide sales summaries based on data from multiple sources on an agreed to cadence
  • Analyze data and translate it into actionable insights with the goal of driving sales
  • Run and publish ad hoc reports as needed/requested
  • Prepare presentations for leadership meetings, planning meetings and vendor meetings
  • Support the sales team and supply chain teams in completing analysis and inventory checks

Qualifications:

  • (Required): Associate's or Bachelor Degree (preferred in Business or Sales Analytics)
  • Experience in Sales and/or Replenishment Analytics preferred
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics, Outlook, SalesForce.com and web-browsers
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines
  • Team/collaborative approach to decision making with excellent people skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to change and alter according to changes in projects or business environment
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related fieldExperience:

Nice to Have:

  • Advanced degree in Business, Data Analytics, or similar area of focus.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years’ experience in any of the following: Operations, Finance, Planning/Forecasting, Sales
  • Familiarity with any of the following applications:
    • Tableau, Spotfire, or other data visualization tools.
    • SQL, R, or related database languages.
