(ORLANDO, FLORIDA – March 4, 2015) Aviation Specialties Unlimited Inc., (ASU) announced today, from the Helicopter International Association (HAI) HELI-EXPO Convention in Orlando, Florida, that the company once again sponsored a Whirly Girl Scholarship. Pilot Cristina Gonzalez from Puerto Rico was announced as the 2015 winner of the scholarship.

ASU announced that they completed a full-service order for the Pasadena Police Department. The Pasadena Police Department purchased four new night vision goggles, modified the interiors of their two Bell OH-58s and received initial training for seven pilots. "The Pasadena Police Department plays a vital role in the protection of one of Americas most notable cities," said ASU Director of Marketing Hannah Gordon. "It is critical to have the right equipment, modifications and know how to maximize the use of your goggles by understanding them. We are honored to have completed the modifications, training and sales of the new NVGs to Pasadena."

ASU has been awarded the second Night Vision Goggle Training contract issued by the FAA to train Principle Operations Inspectors and Aviation Safety Inspectors. ASU also won the first contract in (2007) and has trained more than 58 FAA inspectors and provided 32 recurrent training courses.

ASU has been awarded a contract with Qatar based Gulf Helicopter Company (GHC), for the provision and training of the Company?s Emergency Medical Crews. The Pilots and Paramedics will be qualified in the use of the ITT F4949 night vision goggles, to supplement the FLIR EVS systems presently in use.
