ASU OWLS Microgimbal

ASU’s OWLS combines a compact night vision sensor with an image stabilized microgimbal enclosure that can be designed to perform surveillance, reconnaissance, target detection, and target tracking from airborne and manned platforms. OWLS provides advanced imaging capability in critically demanding mission environments such as aerial emergency services and firefighting activities.

OWLS is an affordable surveillance system that incorporates a high performance Low Light Level (LLL) CMOS imager with an option to fuse a uncooled thermal camera. The environmentally ruggedized 4-inch gimbal is 2-axis stabilized and is ideal for platforms requiring a lightweight visible/infrared imaging capability featuring a continuous 360° azimuth field of regard.
