ASU Regains Repair Station Certificate
BOISE, Idaho: May 29, 2008. Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc. (ASU, Inc.) is pleased to announce that their Part 145 Repair Station Certificate (Number UABR273K) has been reissued effective today.
As background, since October 2007 Aviation Specialties has been involved in an in depth investigation regarding the required paperwork and documentation for the installation of night vision lighting modifications. During that time, ASU has made great strides to correct paperwork, improve our relationship with the FAA, and improve the overall quality in our products and services.
ASU continues to offer a turn key solution to operators, to include the purchase of ITT night vision goggle systems, perform factory NVG goggle maintenance/certification and repair services, provide FAA approved NVG training, and NVG cockpit installations on customer aircraft.
Our company goal of continued support to each and every NVG operation throughout the United States to the best of our ability has not changed. Besides being a company that employs personnel and try’s to generate an annual profit, we still have the intrinsic motivation, belief, and dedication that night vision goggles are one of the most efficient and cost effective means of increasing “Operational Safety” for night operations of civil aircraft. This ideal has not changed in over 13 years of promoting night vision in the civil aviation industry.
