NVIS Installation Technician.

Location: Boise, Idaho

Position Summary

Technician is responsible for the installation of supplemental lighting systems to include rotorcraft and fixed wing aircraft. To include completion of associated paperwork; delivering professional customer service over the phone and in the field; coordination of post installation updates and participating in procedural documentation, etc. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to performing general aircraft maintenance. This position is full time with benefits upon successful completion of 90 day probationary period.

Requirements

• Travel:  Position requires frequent and extended travel on a regular basis. Estimated travel of 20+ weeks per year. Typical travel weeks are Monday thru Friday.
• Education/ Experience:  Must meet FAA requirements for possessing a Repairman Certificate or possess a valid Airframe or Airframe and Power plant certificate. Avionics experience is a plus.
• Knowledge and abilities: Must possess the ability to operate shop machinery and hand tools associated with aircraft maintenance. Must have a good understanding of current FAR’s and FAA advisory circulars as it relates to aircraft maintenance and documentation requirements.
• Mental Reasoning and abilities:  Must be capable of logically coping with and resolving all levels of stress, and situations in the presence of high profile officials. Must be capable of comprehending regulatory and instructional materials. Must be capable of defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Must be manage and complete multiple complicated tasks/projects simultaneously.
• Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to safely and comfortably moving in and around small aircraft cockpits and/or obstacles that may have delicate instrumentation associated. Free range of motion with both hands and comfortably articulate limbs while moving in and out of aircraft and on delicate equipment. Must be capable of lifting heavy objects upward to 70lbs
• Language/Communication Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate by means of reading, and understanding the English language A Second language to include Spanish is a plus.
• Computer Literacy: Must be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Windows, MS Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Must have a good working knowledge in the use of Windows Explorer in electronic file storage and retrieval.
• Other Requirements: Must possess a valid passport and valid driver’s license.
