Facilities Coordinator

INTRODUCTION

Coordinates the organization's facilities department. Oversees the functioning of building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, and elevators. Manage the maintenance of buildings and grounds. Oversees contractors for facility renovation projects entailing HVAC, electrical systems, and production floor arrangement. FUNCTIONAL ROLE

  • Owns ASU’s overall facilities functionality, cleanliness and works with leadership to prepare the facility in advance for business requirements.
  • Will be a part of a leadership team related to any events planning, preparation for and removal of event requirements.
  • Ensures consistent daily cleanliness and continued building maintenance based on existing checklists.
  • Continually looks for methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the buildings systems and operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education:  High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Experience:  Minimum of 5+ years in building maintenance and/or custodial work.
  • Skills, knowledge and abilities:  Must be able to work well both independently and with others. Must be able to communicate effectively (reading, writing and speaking) the English language.
  • Physical – Body Positions:  Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Computer Literacy:  Must possess good computer proficiency in Windows, Outlook and Excel.
  • Multitasking Ability:  Must be able to comfortably handle complicated multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

 The Facilities Coordinator/Custodian reports to the IT and Facilities Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Continually clean and maintain all building spaces following checklists
  • Continually keep stock at expected levels both for cleaning and maintenance items as well as break room(s).
  • Be a co-leader on employee event productions, barbeques and kitchen fun.
