Finance Supervisor – Aviation Specialties Unlimited Overview

This position is responsible for general accounting including accounts payable and accounts receivable, internal and external audit coordination, cost accounting systems and information, budget preparation and control. Responsible for appraising operating results in terms of costs, budgets, policies of operations, trends and increased profitability. The Finance Supervisor also performs day to day bookkeeping activities while supervising staff to ensure work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and will have contact with senior-level managers which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; Master's degree (M. A.) in business, finance or accounting preferred. A minimum of 5 or years of accounting experience with 3 years of management experience required.
Certificates and Licenses:
CPA or CMA certification desired.
Language Ability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups such as managers, customers, vendors and the Executive Team.
Computer Skills
Advanced level of knowledge with Microsoft Office suite, Excel and Word in particular, and email.
Experience with enterprise level general ledger system required (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics SL).
Knowledge of ERP and/or CRM systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises a staff of one or more employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
