Pilot-in-Command: Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU) is looking for Pilot-in-Command Position.
Location: International shipboard operations based out of Boise, Idaho.
Reporting Date: Four positions reporting no later than August 6, 2018 to Boise, Idaho for training.
Work Schedule: Normal work days are continuous for approximately a six-weeks on six-weeks off schedule, except as adjusted by the cruise ship. ASU conducts extensive shipboard flight activities and normal hours may be shifted to ensure aircraft on-demand flights.
Supervision: The pilot-in-command will be aboard the ship to conduct un-scheduled on-demand. aircraft operations. The pilot-in-command will be under the direction of the ASU Chief Pilot.
Education: Must hold a U.S. FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate Rotorcraft-Helicopter and Instrument-Helicopter ratings.
Experience: Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience operation as pilot-in-command with a minimum of 2,000 Flight hours (1,500 in helicopters and minimum 500 as pilot in command).
Skills, knowledge and abilities: Must have knowledge of aviation practices sufficient to plan and safely conduct helicopter operations including, over water and ship board operations. Knowledge of applicable FAA regulations and procedures. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other ASU employees. Skill in developing techniques and methodologies to resolve unprecedented problems or situations. Able to work well under pressure in fast-paced, shipboard, and noisy environment while exercising sound judgment at all times. Able to assist the chief pilot.
Language / Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively (reading, writing and speaking) in the English language.
