Aerial applicators with night vision goggles (NVGs) are seeing more than ever before, maximizing productivity, and enjoying consistent flying schedules. To safely fly with NVGs, the FAA requires a pilot to be equipped with aviation-rated NVGs, Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) compatible lighting and pilot training. From initial sale of goggle to the set-up of your cockpit to the training of your flight crew, ASU will guide you through every step of the process.
The AN/AVS-9 NVG is the leading night vision goggle in the civil aviation industry. The latest NVG incorporates un-filmed, auto-gated tubes provide the highest quality image in both low light and high light environments. **NEW White Phosphor available**
NVIS modifications are required to maximize visual acuity and safety. ASU offers 26 STC’s covering over 80 makes and models of aircraft. Experienced modifiers with more than 1,000 aircraft completed.
NVG Initial, Recurrent, and Instructor Pilot Training – ASU has trained more than 6,000 pilots and crew. FAA certifications in Part 133, 135, 137 and 141.
FAA requires NVGs to be inspected and recertified every 180 days. ASU’s service center provides 180 day goggle certification, repair and maintenance.
