Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc. (ASU) and Harris Corporation (Harris) recently entered into a Distributor Agreement, making ASU an authorized reseller for Harris’ Technical Standard Order (TSO) Night Vision Goggles (NVGs).
The Night Vision Awards selection committee announced today they are now taking nominations for the 2017 Night Vision Awards Show to be held in Reno, NV at the Airborne Law Enforcement Association’s (ALEA) annual conference. Entries will be accepted until June 30. The awards will be presented to recipients on Thursday, July 27 at an awards reception in the Edge Night Club inside the Peppermill Resort from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Aviation Specialties Unlimited, (ASU) Inc., announced the company will display a new product combination designed for a more rugged, lighter, comfortable mission experience with the new ASU aviation night vision helmet mount and battery pack known as the Aeronox® along with the Aspida™ carbon Paraclete Aviation Life Support helmet with the Kairos™ Retention Assembly, and ASU white phosphor night vision goggles. Aviation Specialties Unlimited, (ASU) Inc., a Boise-based company, was granted approval by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in January to conduct commercial flight operations carrying passengers and cargo while using night vision goggles (NVGs) operating single engine airplanes. Operations are expected to start this April.
LONDONDERRY, N.H., January 24, 2017 – L3 Warrior Systems – Insight Technology (L3 Insight Technology) announced today that it has received the first Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Technical Standard Order (TSO)-C164a authorization for its M949 Aviation Night Vision Goggle (ANVG). L3 is the first company to receive this authorization, which standardizes quality and safety specifications for ANVGs.
