The Night Vision Awards announced this week that they will host their awards at the Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC) Tuesday, October 23 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle in rooms 606 and 607. The event is open to all attendees of AMTC. Food and drinks will be served during the award show. The show will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are not required. AMTC badges are all that is needed for entry.

The Night Vision Awards selection committee announced today that they are now taking nominations for the 2012 Night Vision Awards Show to be held in Seattle at the Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC). Awards will be presented to recipients on Tuesday, October 23rd at an awards dinner from 6:30-7:45p.m. at the Seattle Convention Center.

"The last awards we held were at ALEA this summer and we had a great group of world-class operators that received awards," said Aviation Specialties Unlimited Director of Sales and Marketing Hannah Gordon. "We had record attendance, and honored the first Canadian operators to win an award. We hope attendees from AMTC will come out and help us honor the winners at this show."

Aviation Specialties Unlimited, (ASU) announced in conjunction with Eurocopter Southern Africa Ltd., (ESAL) that they have completed three AS350 B3s for the Botswana Police Service, in Johannesburg South Africa. In addition to the installation, ASU also provided ESAL technicians training for support of the installation.

Johannesburg is the largest city in South Africa with a population of nearly four million people. It is one of the 50 largest cities in the world. The region surrounding Johannesburg has approximately 10 million people.

Air Corps complete Air Ambulance mission last night transferring patient from Castlebar to Crumlin, departed Castlebar at 2115 and landed in Crumlin with aid of night vision goggles at 2230.

Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU) has added the Eurocopter EC155 to their STC portfolio. The addition of this STC gives ASU an unprecedented 54 STC model/make configurations. The completion of the first ASU EC155 was for the University of Michigan and was a combined effort between ASU, Metro Aviation and American Eurocopter. "Our customers have diverse fleets of aircraft with unique missions," said ASU's director of marketing Hannah Gordon. "We continue to obtain STCs to meet the needs of our customers."
