Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU) recently delivered 21 customized Ecliptus night vision video cameras to the Army National Guard as part of the company’s new GSA Ecliptusprogram. The Ecliptus is a wireless, recording, and imaging night vision camera ideal for night time documentation, surveillance and video production.

Two Ecuadorian Navy pilots took a nearly 4,000-mile journey from Ecuador to Boise, Idaho to attend Night Vision pilot training with Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU) earlier this summer. The ASU NVG flight instructors have trained pilots and crew members from more than 20 different countries to fly with night vision. In the initial training, each student gets eight hours of ground school and five hours of night-time flight instruction with NVGs.

Aviation Specialties Unlimited, (ASU) announced today that it completed its 1000th FAA approved night vision cockpit modification. This modification was completed on a Bell 407GXP at Wysong Enterprises, Inc., (Wysong) in Blountville, Tennessee for MED TRANS Air Medical Transport ( Med-Trans Corp).

Co-developed by FlightSafety and Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU), this FAA-approved eLearning Night Vision Goggles (NVG) Recurrent course is designed to review NVG operational techniques during all phases of flight. NVG regulatory and procedural guidance FAA 61.31(k)(1) will also be covered.

Aviation Specialties Unlimited, (ASU) Inc., announced today that the company has hired Sarah Pokorney as the new marketing coordinator. In her new role, Pokorney will manage marketing and communication for every division of ASU including sales, training, goggle service and repair and new product development.
