Eleven Idaho companies exhibited in Paris with Governor Otter
An Idaho delegation led to the Paris Air Show by Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter in June is on track to be the most successful trade show organized by the Idaho Department of Commerce to date, with an estimated $1,030,000 in revenue already generated. Governor Otter and a team from Commerce were joined by representatives from 11 Idaho-based companies in the aerospace industry.
From the International Paris Air Show trade show floor in the United States Pavilion along with the state of Idaho delegation, Idaho Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter awarded Aviation Specialties Unlimited, (ASU) valued partner awards to Austria-based Helikopter Air Transport GmbH (HeliAir) and Paris, France-based LFE.
Aviation Specialties Unlimited, (ASU) was chosen as the first company ever contracted to train the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Flight Standards Operations Inspectors and Aircraft Certification Pilots on the use of night vision goggles (NVGs) while operating fixed wing aircraft. ASU will provide both initial training and recurrent training to FAA beginning on July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020.
The Night Vision Awards selection committee has announced a June 30th deadline for nominations for the 2017 Night Vision Awards Show to be held in Reno, Nevada at the Airborne Law Enforcement Association’s (ALEA) annual conference. The awards will be presented to recipients on Thursday, July 27th at an awards reception in Edge Nightclub at the Peppermill Resort from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc. (ASU) and Harris Corporation (Harris) recently entered into a Distributor Agreement, making ASU an authorized reseller for Harris’ Technical Standard Order (TSO) Night Vision Goggles (NVGs).
