Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc. (ASU) and L3 Warrior Sensor Systems recently entered into an agreement, making ASU an authorized Technical Standard Order (TSO) service center and – upon approval of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) – an authorized TSO recovery center. The master service agreement authorizes ASU to market, sell and service L3 TSO-certified goggles domestically to ASU’s existing customer base.

For more than 20 years Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc. (ASU) has worked with both helicopter and fixed-wing operators on cockpit modifications around the world. With changing technology, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements and mandates, ASU announced that they have hired Darren Knight as their new Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) Manager and appointed Austin Barrett as the Engineering Change Order (ECO) Program Manager. Barrett and Knight will help customers navigate through compliance concerns with overseeing ECO requirements and PMA needs.

Anodyne Electronics Manufacturing Corp. (AEM) and Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc. (ASU) are pleased to announce they will be proceeding with the development, qualification, certification and sale of a new generation, “plug and play” replacement caution/warning panel for the BK117 series helicopter. The MCP117 will be night vision goggle (NVG) compatible, DO-160G qualified, feature LED lighting and has significantly higher reliability than the original product.
