After numerous inquiries, the Night Vision Awards selection committee announced today they are extending the call for nominations for the 2019 Night Vision Awards Show to be held in Omaha, Nebraska at the Airborne Public Safety Association’s (APSA) annual APSCON conference. Entries will now be accepted until June 28th, 2019. The awards will be presented to recipients on Thursday, July 18 at an awards reception in the CHI Health Center Junior Ballroom from 16:30-17:30 p.m.
Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc., (ASU) announced today that they delivered four prototype helmets to the U.S. Air Force at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. ASU was one of only three finalists selected by the AFWERX Fixed Wing Helmet Challenge in November of 2018. More than 110 companies submitted helmet designs initially in 2018. In October of 2018, the field narrowed to 38 companies and lastly to the final three.
