ASU Expands Global Reach with Redimec Partnership
Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU), the Idaho-based pioneer in aviation night-vision solutions, has appointed Buenos Aires-based Redimec as its authorized representative and distributor in Argentina. This strategic partnership, announced in July 2025, strengthens ASU’s global network and ensures customers in Argentina gain direct access to the latest night-vision goggles (NVGs), services, and training.

Nearly 30 Years of Night Vision Leadership
For almost three decades, ASU has led the night vision industry. The company has equipped over 10,000 NVGs, trained more than 8,000 pilots and crew, and completed thousands of NVIS aircraft modifications. Additionally, ASU holds the world’s largest library of NVG Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs), offering proven, mission-ready solutions to public safety, defense, and civil operators.
Redimec Brings Local Expertise to Argentina
Redimec has been a leader in aviation technology in Latin America for more than 30 years. Through this new partnership, it will offer ASU’s complete suite of night vision products.
These include the revolutionary E3 goggle—a lightweight NVG with a wider field of view and improved eye relief. Furthermore, the partnership adds local support for training, calibration, and maintenance, giving Argentinian customers faster access to high-quality, mission-critical tools.
Leaders Share Their Vision
Dan Meyer, ASU’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said:
“Redimec is a trusted name in aviation and defense across Latin America. Their reputation for quality, customer service, and deep technical knowledge makes them the ideal partner to bring ASU’s technology and support closer to customers in Argentina.”
Fabián Oyarbide, CEO of Redimec, added:
“ASU’s NVG systems represent the highest level of performance and innovation in the field. We are excited to bring these technologies to our customers and expand night operations safely and effectively.”

Powering Safer Night Operations
Together, ASU and Redimec are helping more pilots operate with confidence—no matter the mission, no matter the night.
