Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc. (ASU) and Harris Corporation (Harris) recently entered into a Distributor Agreement, making ASU an authorized reseller for Harris’ Technical Standard Order (TSO) Night Vision Goggles (NVGs).

For more than 20 years Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc. (ASU) has worked with both helicopter and fixed-wing operators on cockpit modifications around the world.  With changing technology, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements and mandates, ASU announced that they have hired Darren Knight as their new Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) Manager and appointed Austin Barrett as the Engineering Change Order (ECO) Program Manager. Barrett and Knight will help customers navigate through compliance concerns with overseeing engineering change order (ECO) requirements and PMA needs.

(BOISE, Idaho — November 14, 2017) Aviation Specialties Unlimited, (ASU) received notice from Transport Canada that they have received a supplemental type certificate (STC) on the Airbus AS350. ASU modified the AS350 for HNZ Topflight.  The modification was ASU’s 208th on this airframe globally.

Aviation Specialties Unlimited, (ASU) obtained a supplemental type certificate (STC) on the Sikorsky S-92A. The S-92A is widely used in offshore operations around the world and is known for its ability to transport large crews and heavy cargo to drilling platforms. ASU obtained the STC for a Bristow aircraft operating in the Gulf of Mexico.
