ASU is an Idaho corporation formed in 1995. We are a recognized leader in employing night vision in non-military operations across the United States, including law enforcement aviation operations for rotor-wing and fixed-wing aircraft. ASU staff has over 50 years of cumulative aviation experience and has accumulated well over 35,000 hours of flight time. Our pilots have thousands of accident free flight hours worldwide doing whatever the job demands.

We provide various Part 135 Air Carrier services that include specialized airborne law enforcement solutions for government entities. We deliver professional and successful turn-key airborne operations, employing specially equipped helicopters and experienced pilots. Our helicopters can rapidly survey large areas for lost individuals or fleeing suspects.

Services include, but are not limited to:

• Law Enforcement — Proven experience participating in missions to pursue suspects, perform surveillance and photographic assignments, counter-drug operations, aerial command and control for critical incident management, special operations missions, emergency response missions, show of presence in known drug and gang areas, river and lake patrol, dam and water supply patrols, night time lighting of accident scenes and traffic control.
• Airborne Surveillance and Security Operations — ASU has operated an airborne surveillance contract in Colombia, South America. Throughout the four-year contract our Cessna C337 aircraft provided surveillance and security for the petroleum pipeline that is vital to the economy of Colombia.

Bell 505 – The Bell 505 JetRanger X is Bell’s new five-seat aircraft designed for safety, efficiency and reliability through advanced avionics technology. Designed for single pilot operation, the cabin will accommodate four passengers, three in the rear cabin and one next to the pilot. Each seat is outfitted with intercom and headsets. The rear-cabin has more room than any aircraft in its class. Removable seats allow for flexibility in configuration.
