Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU) has added the Eurocopter EC155 to their STC portfolio. The addition of this STC gives ASU an unprecedented 54 STC model/make configurations. The completion of the first ASU EC155 was for the University of Michigan and was a combined effort between ASU, Metro Aviation and American Eurocopter. “Our customers have diverse fleets of aircraft with unique missions,” said ASU’s director of marketing Hannah Gordon. “We continue to obtain STCs to meet the needs of our customers.”
The EC155 is operated by Pentastar Aviation for the University of Michigan Health Systems.
“A team from the University of Michigan Health Systems reviewed candidates for the modification and chose Metro Aviation and ASU,” said PentaStar Aviation Manager Jeff Dowdall, who is stationed at the University of Michigan Health Systems. “They liked what they saw. ASU had previously done work on the Bell 430s and we have been very pleased with their work. The way ASU does their STCs it is easy to understand and easy for our pilots to comply with.”
“We are very meticulous and detailed with all of our aircraft modifications, said ASU director of maintenance, Shawn Woodworth. “Every aircraft is unique and has specific configuration requirements that we work with to ensure compliance. With years of modification experience on numerous aircraft, our team has the ability to complete the work needed to get the aircraft back into service with minimal delay.”
The first ECC 155 has been delivered and two more will follow.
