Night Vision Awards Announces Call for Entries

The Night Vision Awards selection committee announced today that they are now taking nominations for the 2012 Night Vision Awards Show to be held in Seattle at the Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC). Awards will be presented to recipients on Tuesday, October 23rd at an awards dinner from 6:30-7:45p.m. at the Seattle Convention Center.

“The last awards we held were at ALEA this summer and we had a great group of world-class operators that received awards,” said Aviation Specialties Unlimited Director of Sales and Marketing Hannah Gordon. “We had record attendance, and honored the first Canadian operators to win an award. We hope attendees from AMTC will come out and help us honor the winners at this show.”
The Night Vision Awards is an annual awards series with recognition events held at three key industry events in North America: HAI, ALEA and AMTC. The purpose of this event series is to promote operational leadership and excellence in the use of Night Vision, in North American and around the world.
“The Night Vision Awards series provides an important opportunity to recognize leaders in night vision operations and showcase their NVG achievements,” stated Night Flight Concepts president Adam Aldous. “NFC is pleased to join forces again with ASU – as we did at ALEA 2012 – to produce the Night Vision Awards at AMTC, and celebrate the achievements of these organizations demonstrating leadership, success and commitment to NVG operational excellence, safety and community awareness.”
Night Vision Awards will be given for the following categories:
  • 5-year service award
  • 10-year service award
  • Community Awareness award
  • Mark of Excellence award

Nominations are accepted year round. Any flight operation using any Night Vision systems is eligible for consideration. Award nomination packets can be downloaded or filled out at http://www.nightvisionawards.com. Operators must be present at AMTC in order to be eligible for entry for the awards at AMTC. Nominators are asked to submit photos, videos and stories about their use of Night Vision Systems along with their nomination form. Applicants are asked to email supporting materials to scott@brandingiron.com.
