Night Vision Award Committee Announces Final Call for Entries for the 2017 Night Vision Awards

The Night Vision Awards selection committee has announced a June 30th deadline for nominations for the 2017 Night Vision Awards Show to be held in Reno, Nevada at the Airborne Law Enforcement Association’s (ALEA) annual conference. The awards will be presented to recipients on Thursday, July 27th at an awards reception in Edge Nightclub at the Peppermill Resort from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The Night Vision Awards are a Biennial event with ceremonies hosted by Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Night Flight Concepts, Vertical Magazine. The purpose of the awards is to promote operational leadership and excellence in the use of night vision, in North America and around the world.

Any flight operation using any Night Vision systems is eligible for consideration. Award nomination packets can be downloaded or filled out at Operators must be present at ALEA in order to be eligible for entry for the awards. Nominators are asked to submit photos, videos and stories about their use of Night Vision Systems along with their nomination form. “This is our first show since switching to the biennial format,” said Night Vision Awards emcee Scott Emerine. “We are hoping to honor more units at once and expect a record breaking attendance.”
